We approach our work with respect to ensure we are taking care of our Arctic playground, as vulnerable as it is.
The raw landscape we live in evokes powerful emotions. We are priviliged to work in such a stunning yet fragile environment. The archipelago around Sommarøy is wild and unique, ranging from steep mountains and sheer cliffs plunging into the ocean, to sandy white beaches and marine wildlife. These are some of the unique highlights of the Arctic north. From a sea kayak we become one with nature, experiencing the landscape and wildlife up close.
One of the most majestic sights is the sea eagle, which on certain days soars high above us. We also encounter otters, seals, and porpoises, to name a few. The diversity of seabirds and plant life here is remarkable, enriching our everyday adventures. To survive and thrive in the Arctic, plants and animals must adapt in both behaviour and seasonal rhythms, making this ecosystem both unique and beautiful, yet increasingly vulnerable in a time of climate change.
To avoid putting additional pressure on already vulnerable wildlife, we strive to minimise our footprint every day. Preserving this fragile Arctic environment for future generations is a responsibility we take seriously. We hope that you, as our guest, will keep this in mind when visiting our beautiful Arctic paradise.
